Plant Room Installations & Upgrades
Installation and replacement of mechanical plant and associated pipework, working to an agreed scope and coordinated project requirements.
Scope of work
Mechanical plant installation
Installation of equipment such as pumps and calorifiers, and associated mechanical connections within the project scope.
Pipework and connections
Pipework layouts, supports, valves and plant connections coordinated with equipment positions and maintenance access.
Chiller and AHU connections
Alterations to heating and chilled water pipework for replacement chillers and air handling units (AHUs), including associated pumps, valves and three-port valve arrangements to suit project drawings and specifications.
Upgrade and replacement works
Strip-out and installation sequences agreed around the equipment, building access and services that need to remain available.
Planning the installation
Provide the plant schedule, equipment dimensions and weights, layout drawings and connection details. Access routes, lifting arrangements, shutdowns and responsibilities for associated specialist works are discussed before the programme is agreed.
Common questions
Can you upgrade an existing plantroom?
Yes. We welcome enquiries for plant and pipework upgrades. The extent of strip-out, replacement equipment and connection works needs to be defined before quoting.
Do you provide the complete design?
Our main focus is installation. Design, equipment selection, electrical works, controls and commissioning responsibilities are agreed as part of each project’s scope.
What if access is restricted?
Send the access route, doorway and lift dimensions, equipment weights and any site restrictions. The movement and lifting arrangements need to be planned before installation.
